John Euless moved to Fresno from Tennessee in 1906, and became involved in the real estate and insurance business. He led a subscription drive to construct a baseball park in Fresno. In honor of his efforts, the park was names John Euless Baseball Park. Located at University and Clark Avenues, it was the home of several minor league baseball teams from 1941 until 1988. This home, built in a somewhat unusual Craftsman style, is distinguished by its prominent hooded dormer.
